Why a PAC?

You might not hear the word “PAC" often, especially in communities that have been left out of important conversations. And when you do hear about a PAC, it’s often about ones that work against our needs and rights.

So, what is a PAC? It stands for Political Action Committee. At No Going Back (NGB), we focus on the word “action." PACs are tools to support candidates and causes by holding others accountable and spreading important messages. Unlike a single person or election, a PAC can create year-round change and help advocate for what matters most.

Why donate to a PAC?

You should still donate directly to the campaign of your preferred candidate if you can, but there’s a limit to how much you can give to a single candidate. A campaign requires funding to be effective, and engaging with a PAC allows you to support your favorite candidate while also supporting a landscape of candidates with similar values.

Why this PAC?

In 2024, many great candidates lost or were pushed out of elections because of PACs funded by corporate and foreign interests. This caused people to feel distrustful, hopeless, and frustrated—exactly the opposite of what our country and communities desperately needs.

We founded NGB to fight back in a smarter, stronger way. We don’t just “fight fire with fire”— this PAC was created to lead with a clear, humanist message. Running an honest, grassroots campaign can be challenging, but NGB offers real help in the form of critical funding, compelling messaging, and effective organizing.

What’s next for NGB?

In 2025, NGB will focus on supporting local organizers and preparing for the 2026 elections. We’ll host events to connect with others who share our values because in uncertain times, finding allies is key. We’ll also give direct financial aid to progressive candidates, making sure your early donations make a big impact.

What are independent expenditures?

An independent expenditure is something we fund to help a candidate, but the candidate isn’t involved. By law, candidates can’t coordinate with us on these efforts. This gives them the freedom to focus on their campaigns, knowing we’ve got their backs.

What does NGB do with donations?

PACs can do things that regular campaign donations can’t. We support candidates by helping with things like:

• Spreading their messages to wider audiences

• Creating voter guides and educational materials

• Funding media campaigns

We help in ways that individual candidates can’t always afford to, both by donating directly to campaigns and funding independent efforts.

What kinds of events does NGB host?

We host panel talks, conferences, and social gatherings to bring together people who care about the same issues. Our first event, held in Phoenix, AZ, was a huge success! After the 2024 election, people at the event said, “This is the most hope I’ve had all year!”
